Release Day Blitz & Review: Epic Love by Trudy Stiles (Epic Fail series #3)

HEATH STRICKLAND, the son of a prominent district attorney, lived his life surrounded by violence and crime. He was an unwilling witness to the corrupt lives his father swore to prosecute and keep behind bars. His escape was his music, which eventually led him to replace the iconic singer of the world famous band, Epic Fail.

NOELLE DURAND lived in luxury, growing up on a sprawling estate, with everything she could ever want or need. Her life, to everyone else, seemed perfect. Perfect house. Perfect things. Perfect family. But nothing at all was perfect. She lived in hell. A hell that nobody on the outside could see.

As a neighbor and childhood friend, Heath would have done anything for Noelle. He would have given up the world to protect her and keep her safe. Their friendship grew into something that neither of them expected. But then she suddenly disappeared, vanishing from his life as if she never existed. He never stopped hoping that one day she would resurface, alive and well. But as time went by, and her family gave up hope, he surrendered his heart to his lost love.

Twelve years later, one phone call changes everything.

EPIC LOVE is the third book in the EPIC FAIL series and can be read as a STANDALONE novel.

This series is a spin-off from the FOREVER FAMILY series.

You know how sometimes you read a book that is just so, so, sooooo good that you have to tell everyone about it, so you try really, really hard to explain it to people without giving away the whole story, but you’re sure that you’re completely failing at adequately expressing how insanely awesome the book was because you’re just babbling away trying to say enough but not too much?  That.  That was me the entirety of this past week as I tried to express my love for this story without giving away the entire plot.  So brace yourself, because here it comes. . .

Trudy starts this book with a big old punch to the feels.  And I don’t mean just a friendly slug to the belly, but a whopper with a windup that will knock you on your ass.  I made the mistake of starting this book before bed, and needless to say, I  stayed up way past my bedtime.

I’m happy to say that Trudy keeps up with these punches throughout the entire story.  Yes, you heard me right: that makes me happy.  This story is a constant ride of My heart is melting! and Holy Crap! and YESSSSS! and OMG WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!, and it’s the best ride.  There’s nothing complacent about this story.  It’s not boring, it doesn’t fit the mold, and it doesn’t leave you wondering why you picked up the book in the first place.  It’s a story about love.  It’s a story about hope.  It’s a story about second chances.  It’s a story that pulls you in and drags your heart through the coals, but never completely destroys your faith.

This book made a wormhole straight to my heart and has itself lodged there.  I can’t stop thinking about Heath and Noelle and where the future has taken everyone.  And my emotions are still raw from that crazy roller coaster ride that Trudy took me on.  And I can’t wait until she does it again!

As the synopsis indicates, this book is the third in the Epic Fail series,  but they all read as standalones.  Characters from the previous two books do make appearances in Epic Love, but this book is all about Heath and Noelle.  If you haven’t read the first two books (Epic Sins and Epic Lies), do not let that stop you from picking up Epic Love!! You will not be spoiling anything for yourself by starting with book #3.  I promise.  Now go read this book!

Cheers! ~Amber
